When you sign up, we collect your name and email address through our authentication provider (Clerk). This is used solely for account management and communication.

Subscription Data

If you subscribe to a paid plan, payment processing is handled by Razorpay. We store your subscription status and plan tier but never store card details on our servers.

Local App Data

Documents, highlights, annotations, and notes created in the LegalMind app are stored locally on your device. We do not upload, access, or process this data on our servers.

2. How We Use Your Data

  • To provide and maintain your account
  • To process subscription payments
  • To send transactional emails (receipts, password resets)
  • To respond to support requests

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.

3. Third-Party Services

  • Clerk — authentication and user management
  • Razorpay — payment processing
  • Supabase — account and subscription data storage
  • Vercel — website hosting

Each provider has its own privacy policy governing how they handle your data.

4. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we remove your data from our systems within 30 days. Local app data is deleted when you uninstall the app.

5. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate data
  • Request deletion of your account and data
  • Withdraw consent for optional communications

6. Security

We use industry-standard security measures including HTTPS encryption, secure authentication tokens, and access controls. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Continued use of LegalMind after changes constitutes acceptance.
